I was so excited when Beth called me to schedule Sloan’s newborn pictures. I photographed Beth’s older child’s first year, and now it was time for baby number 2! Of course we are going to photograph Sloan’s first year as part of the Bebe Premiere Plan too! Beth brought along some aviator themed props, since sloan’s room was decked out with the aviator theme. I love to photograph newborns… even if it means having 2 loads of laundry from baby poo….. Sloan was a poopin’ machine! hehe….
What a perfect weekend Kyle and Allyn had for their get-away wedding in Northern Michigan at Shanty Creek. Their wedding was outdoors with a beautiful view, overlooking the lake. The landscaped grounds, the lake, and a beautiful sunset made for a perfect backdrop for their wedding pictures. I have been honored to photograph 4 of Allyn’s sisters weddings, so I felt like I was with family. (I keep joking with them, asking them when they are going to start inviting me to Christmas!) Thank you Allyn and Kyle for such a perfect wedding day, and a fun get-away weekend at Shanty Creek! I love my job! Oh… and make sure you watch the slideshow here to see more of their wedding photographs!
Ashley and adam were married in Spring Lake last month at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. It was such a perfect day… the sun was shining, the breeze was blowing, love was in the air! Although, maybe Adam would have rather been fishing? (haha… that was a joke from the wedding day!) After the ceremony we headed to a few fun spots for some wedding party pictures. Don’t worry, the railroad tracks in the pictures below were dead tracks by the park. I wouldn’t break the law and trespass on the rails, or put my clients in any danger. I LOVED the pine woods that Ashley found for our wedding party pictures! She picked that, because her and Adam are very outdoorsy. It fit them perfectly! Then top top it all off, the reception was at the beautiful Fruitport Golf Club. It was complete with a campfire and s’mores! Make sure you watch the video for more!
Austin and Kelsey had a beautiful country wedding earlier this month! The ceremony was at the Sandy Pines Chapel, and the reception was at a private barn. The entire reception was vintage that was decorated by Haviland Fields. The decorations included vintage furniture, decorations and vintage table settings. They also included yard games, cotton candy machine, and home made pies! You could see all the love and hard work that went into this wedding! Make sure you watch the slideshow for for more!
Karl and Sara came from the east side of the state to have their engagement pictures taken. They decided on a Grand Rapids urban session. We had been in contact several times throughout the day… because the weather was forecasting rain. Since they were driving in from quite a distance, rescheduling was not an option. So, we started the session with umbrellas, and stayed under some overhangs on the buildings. Then, as the evening went on, the rain stopped just long enough for us to get a few images without umbrellas. It was a beautiful evening, and I can’t wait for the wedding in Dearborn! These are a few of Sara’s favorites!
