October 2019 Wedding Date for Briana & Casey
First of all, Casey and Briana’s wedding date is set for October 2019! Whoo Hoo…we LOVE fall weddings, and we also LOVE fall engagements sessions! Therefore, we photographed Casey and Briana’s complimentary engagement session on a gorgeous fall day. Briana and Casey were excited to create unique portraits with Casey’s dirt bike. Thankfully mother nature cooperated by giving us some great light that day. Fur babies were also a cute addition, and they were so good! We enjoy creating customized and creative sessions to reflect the personalities of each of our Brides and Grooms. It’s our hope for every couple to walk away from their engagement session more excited for their wedding day! We are counting down the months until October 2019…
Austin and Caitlyn ~ Wildwood Farm Fall Wedding
Austin and Caitlyn were married at Wildwood Family Farm in Alto in October!
After photographing Caitlyn’s family for years, we were thrilled to be asked to photograph her wedding day too. What a great location for a fall wedding! Similarly, gorgeous grounds surround the barn in all directions! Austin and Caitlyn were great sports all day, even dodging some raindrops here and there. They weren’t going to let a few sprinkles spoil their dream come true wedding day.
The blushing bride had six bridesmaids stand up with her. Deep red dresses were a perfect match with the deep red barn. Likewise, six groomsmen also stood up with the groom. Since the groom wore navy, they were also decked out in blue. Because Austin serves our country in the military, Caitlyn wanted to have red, white and blue themes mixed throughout the wedding decor. Therefore, the red barn backdrop was the perfect touch, especially with the groom’s navy blue suit!
Finally, we wrapped up the evening with portraits of the bride and groom under the lights. We wish many years of health and happiness to Austin and Caitlyn!

Assaly Summer Wedding at Amway Grand Plaza in Grand Rapids…
Joined in marriage on July 21st were Cameron and Meredith. Married at St Nicholas Orthodox Church
A stunning rehearsal dinner was held the night before at Cascade Country Club.
Cameron and Meredith’s long distance relationship finally ended with the two being united forever!
Assaly Summer Wedding at Amway Grand Plaza in Grand Rapids
A stunning rehearsal dinner was held the night before at Cascade Country Club. Guests were transported to the groom’s hometown of Boston. The Country Club was transformed with photos and decor from the East Coast. The wedding was held Saturday afternoon July 21st. St Nicholas Orthodox Church in Cascade.
Preparations began with the bride and her bridesmaids at her parents home. Meanwhile the groom and his groomsmen enjoyed a leisurely morning at the Amway Grand Plaza. Stunning views welcomed both parties and created a place for peaceful preparation. Meredith was a breathtaking bride. She was photographed on the grand staircase and piano in her childhood home. Cameron was a cool and collected groom. He was photographed in his suite at the Amway. Also with his groomsmen inside Rendezvous the redesigned lobby bar the Amway Grand Plaza. Finally, the stage was set for the big day!
Most noteworthy was Eli and Megan’s Douglas Walker Wedding Friday April 13th! Adventurous enough to plan outdoor photos for April 13th in Byron Center! Eli and Megan began their Friday the 13th by getting ready separately. The bride at a family home in Hudsonville, and the groom at a hotel in Grand Rapids. We met at Douglas Walker park in Byron Center for the Bride and Groom’s first look! Eli was eager with anticipation to see his bride, and Megan was calm and collected as she snuck up behind him and wrapped her arms around her future husband.
We strolled around the grounds of Douglas Walker park out to the bridge. In addition, the cute polka dot umbrella helped protect Megan from a few drops of rain. Thankfully the predicted weather didn’t dampen the day. We were able to capture some great images of the cute couple!
Guests arrived and found seats in the cozy cottage style shelter at the park to prepare for the afternoon ceremony. In addition, this gaming bride and groom had interesting touches woven through all their wedding details. From the lightsaber and comic paper floral bouquets, to the creative cake topper. Check out their wedding slideshow here to see all their creative details!
Because the couples brave family endured the chilly April Michigan weather, we could capture the outdoor photos the bride and groom hoped for. Afterwards everyone dashed back inside to enjoy a delicious catered meal and creative cupcakes specially made by the brides family. In addition to these treats, there were other refreshments also. Following was the bride and groom enjoying their first dance. Finally, the evening ended with the guests dancing the night away!
Jeff and Nicole had a fall Verdonis Wedding in Muskegon! It was a great indoor location that accommodated both the ceremony and reception.
We started the day at the Holiday Inn in Muskegon for their getting ready portion of the day. Jeff and Nicole each had a suite on different floors. It was a crazy windy and rainy day for their wedding, but that didn’t stop us from having a great day! All the pictures were still held outside. even in the rain! Nicole’s mother found the cutest umbrellas online and ordered them “just in case”. I am so glad she did!
The bus picked us up at the hotel to bring us to our first location, Heritage Memorial Garden in Muskegon. The gazebo provided a great covering to stay out of the rain! Jeff and Nicole shared their “first look” under the gazebo, then we proceed with family portraits.
Our next stop was Muskegon Union station, the old train depot. There was just enough of an overhang on the roof that it kept us out of the rain. We were also able to grab a group shot under the awning where the passengers would wait!
We then attempted to go to the beach… while we pulled off a couple pictures, the rain and wind was overtaking us! So, on to the ceremony we went.
The staff at Verdonis had the venue ready and waiting for Jeff and Nicole’s ceremony. They said their vows in front of the beautiful fireplace, under dim lights and a room full of their loved ones. Their ceremony was followed by a great party! Nicole and her father had a fun choreographed dance that they prepared for the crowd. It was fun to see them dance, laugh, and have fun. Make sure you check out the slideshow to see more of their pictures!
The day couldn’t have been more beautiful last month on Sean and Kaylee’s wedding. The ceremony took place at St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church in downtown Grand Rapids, while the reception was at Cascade Hills Country Club in Cascade.
First of all, we started off the afternoon at the church putting the finishing touches on getting ready. The ceremony was gorgeous and steep with rich tradition. Family and friends packed the sanctuary to witness Sean and Kaylee enter the covenant of holy matrimony. It was an honor to witness their love for each other and their love for God.
After the ceremony we spent some time at the church photographing Sean and Kaylee with their family and wedding party. Then it was time to head to the Ada Covered Bridge for some outdoor portraits! It is always a fun time laughing and photographing the wedding party after the ceremony. We were on a tight timeline, so we didn’t stay long! We still needed to do some portraits at Cascade Hills Country Club!
Cascade Hills Country Club was stunning as usual. The golf course made a perfect backdrop for some more photos of Sean and Kaylee. The reception was set perfectly, and the tables looked beautiful. Cascade Hills Country club has big tall windows that let the natural light into the reception area. Therefore it made a perfect scene.
As tradition would have it, Sean and Kaylee played their Lebanese music for dancing. In addition to the fun Lebanese music, they had live drummers to add to it! It made for a fun time dancing! The drummers beat their drums, and the crowd danced away! Then, the ceiling dropped a bunch of beautiful gold balloons! What a fairytale day!
If you want to see more pictures from Sean and Kaylee’s special day, make sure you check out their slideshow here!
Rog and Judy held their fall wedding at Lee Street CRC in Grand Rapids. Who would have thought that it would be almost 100 degrees at the end of September? You just never know about that Michigan weather! But, despite the heat, it was an incredible emotion filled day for Rog and Judy’s wedding.
Rog and Judy are both members of lee street, and that is where they met. Therefore, it was the perfect place for their wedding! We started the day with pictures in the sanctuary of the church. Luckily, Lee Street added air conditioning last year and as a result, it was very comfortable. Without air-conditioning it would have been miserable! I for one was thankful for it, and so were Rog and Judy and their guests!
The afternoon ceremony was followed by an outdoor open house style reception at Grand Ravines North Park. The park boasts beautiful scenic views of the Grand River. We met at the park immediately following the ceremony for some pictures down by the river of the wedding party. Tho old covered bridge provided a fun background too!
The newly remodeled lodge on the property served well for hosting the buffet food line. Tim from Pietros/Three Chefs did a FANTASTIC job on the food! The friends and family celebrating with Rog and Judy enjoyed a time of fellowship and relaxing as they ate and relaxed either in the lodge or under the tent outside.
So, congratulations to Rog and Judy as you spend many happy years together as husband and wife! Don’t forget to check out the slideshow here.
Ashley and Ben gathered with their extended family at St. Nicholas Orthodox Church for a beautiful ceremony. Two families who have been friends for decades were formally united into one. Since Ben always had a special place in his heart for Ashley, his dreams came true the spring day she finally became his wife!
Following the ceremony was a grand celebration with a stunning reception. A gorgeous ice sculpture carved with two interlocking “C’s” showcased the Coleman name overlooking a colorful spread of tasty appetizers in the ballroom lobby.
The Ambassador Ballroom was decorated from top to bottom with beautiful bouquets from Modern Day Floral. A fairytale atmosphere was realized as a result of the bride and her mother’s creative vision.
Guests were thus directed to find their seats to greet the wedding wedding party upon their arrival. A a result, the live band kicked the night off with a song to welcome the new bride and groom. While the cake was being cut, guests oohed and ahhed over the decadent table full of various chocolates!
After the guests completed the five course meal, the live music became an all night affair, wooing guests to dance the night away. April 29th was a night to remember forever for the bride and groom as well as their guests. Watch the slideshow here to see more images from their beautiful wedding!
Samantha and Colson had their Sunnybrook Country Club and Messiah Christian Reformed Church for their winter wedding earlier this month. I was so honored when Samantha asked me to photograph her wedding. I have photographed both of Samantha’s sisters’ weddings, and I love their family!
Samantha and her bridesmaids started out the morning by getting ready at Samantha’s house. After Samantha was dressed and ready, Colson met her at the house for their first look. I love to photograph the first look between a bride and groom! It is such a special time.
We then drove over to Sunnybrook Country Club to do all the wedding portraits by the golf course. Luckily, it was before we had the cold, cold temperatures and snow we received in December! But, it was still a chilly day outside for portraits! The wedding party and family members all took turns going in and out for their turn at portraits. We started out with the bride and groom, then moved on to the bridesmaids. When the bridesmaids went inside to warm up, the groomsmen took their turn, and we followed up with the family portraits.
Next was on to the church for the evening ceremony. Samantha’s dad started the ceremony by announcing the bride in with a trumpet solo. The beautiful ceremony ended with the guests singing “My Friends May you Grow in Grace” while holding hands and joining in worship.
After the ceremony, we headed back to Sunnybrook Country Club for the reception. The food was fabulous, and the party was festive. The friends and family kept the dance floor hopping all night long. Congratulations to Samantha and Colson as you start your new lives together as husband and wife. God bless your marriage! Make sure you check out the slideshow here to view more images from their day!
