Tyler and Aubrey had their wedding in Grand Raids last month. It was a gorgeous late summer/early fall day, and you couldn’t ask for better weather! The wedding ceremony took place at Central Reformed Church in Grand Rapids, and the Reception was at Watermark Country Club. We had a quick stop downtown for a little bit of fun photography too! If you want to see more pictures, make sure you check out the slideshow here!
What a perfect weekend Kyle and Allyn had for their get-away wedding in Northern Michigan at Shanty Creek. Their wedding was outdoors with a beautiful view, overlooking the lake. The landscaped grounds, the lake, and a beautiful sunset made for a perfect backdrop for their wedding pictures. I have been honored to photograph 4 of Allyn’s sisters weddings, so I felt like I was with family. (I keep joking with them, asking them when they are going to start inviting me to Christmas!) Thank you Allyn and Kyle for such a perfect wedding day, and a fun get-away weekend at Shanty Creek! I love my job! Oh… and make sure you watch the slideshow here to see more of their wedding photographs!
Ashley and adam were married in Spring Lake last month at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. It was such a perfect day… the sun was shining, the breeze was blowing, love was in the air! Although, maybe Adam would have rather been fishing? (haha… that was a joke from the wedding day!) After the ceremony we headed to a few fun spots for some wedding party pictures. Don’t worry, the railroad tracks in the pictures below were dead tracks by the park. I wouldn’t break the law and trespass on the rails, or put my clients in any danger. I LOVED the pine woods that Ashley found for our wedding party pictures! She picked that, because her and Adam are very outdoorsy. It fit them perfectly! Then top top it all off, the reception was at the beautiful Fruitport Golf Club. It was complete with a campfire and s’mores! Make sure you watch the video for more!
Austin and Kelsey had a beautiful country wedding earlier this month! The ceremony was at the Sandy Pines Chapel, and the reception was at a private barn. The entire reception was vintage that was decorated by Haviland Fields. The decorations included vintage furniture, decorations and vintage table settings. They also included yard games, cotton candy machine, and home made pies! You could see all the love and hard work that went into this wedding! Make sure you watch the slideshow for for more!
Karl and Sara came from the east side of the state to have their engagement pictures taken. They decided on a Grand Rapids urban session. We had been in contact several times throughout the day… because the weather was forecasting rain. Since they were driving in from quite a distance, rescheduling was not an option. So, we started the session with umbrellas, and stayed under some overhangs on the buildings. Then, as the evening went on, the rain stopped just long enough for us to get a few images without umbrellas. It was a beautiful evening, and I can’t wait for the wedding in Dearborn! These are a few of Sara’s favorites!
I was so excited to get a message from Lindsay a last fall that she was engaged! She has been involved in many of the weddings that I have photographed over the last few years, either as a bridesmaid or the hairdresser. So, when she called to say that she was engaged, I was so excited and honored that she chose Kari Douma Photography to photograph her wedding in Muskegon! It was a rainy day, but that didn’t stop us from getting some gorgeous images! Luckily after the ceremony it cleared up just enough for us to enjoy some outdoor time with the bridal party! The ceremony was at Forest Park Covenant Church, and the reception was at the Century Club Ballroom in Muskegon. We also stopped buy Lake Harbor Park and Pere Marquette for some pictures! Make sure you check out the slideshow HERE!
It was another perfect day for Jess and Tyler’s wedding in Ludington, MI last month! They had their wedding at the historic Epworth Heights. With their family and friends watching, they shared their vows. The beaches of lake Michigan provided a beautiful backdrop for their photography! Then, to finish the evening, they held their wedding reception at Lincoln Hills Golf Club. They had a picture perfect ending with a sparkler send off! Make sure you watch the slideshow here!
Jake and Whitney had a PERFECT wedding day on Memorial Day weekend! I don’t think the weather could have been better for a wedding day… not too hot and not too cold. The ceremony took place at Second Reformed Church in Zeeland. Whitney and Jake had met at Hope College, so we made sure to stop there for some pictures right before the ceremony. Whitney had some amazing decorations at her reception which was at and the reception was at Bissell Tree House at John Ball Zoo in Grand Rapids. This was my first time at the the Tree House, and it was such a beautiful setting! It had a perfect overlook of the city. If you want to see more, check out their slideshow here!
